Smaller than most of the cons I go to, Youmacon was a good chance to meet people, have smaller shoots and enjoy a road trip with friends. Well, Youmacon isn't so small anymore - it's been growing fast, and was pretty crowded inside to put it mildly. As a result, there was pretty much no hallway photos taken, and instead I spent the weekend doing outdoor photoshoots.
Despite being an American con, it turned out, oddly enough, to have a pretty high Canadian quotient, especially in the photography department. Anyway, I had a great time taking some pics with new people and familiar faces, and you can see the results below.
If you're looking to use a photo of yourself: Um, that works for me. I'd ask you not to inline link the photos from elsewhere - link to the gallery page or such if possible. If you want to grab a copy of a picture of you and use it, that's cool. Just try make some sort of mention/credit where it came from - linkage is always nice but not necessary, as is dropping a line so I know where my random photos have ended up [grin]. Oh, and in the unlikely event it's for commercial use, well, you gotta talk to me before anything like that would happen.
Final Thoughts:
Not much to say, other than I'm getting more comfy with groups, outdoor shooting and with flash work. I guess that's a step in the right direction. That, and I'm handling my backlog faster - a little over a month to handle 16GB of photos, not to mention previous backlog. Okay, now I give my hands a break.Friday Photos
